EV Charger Installation
Home EV charging should be simple: plug in overnight, wake up to a full battery. ANP Electrical is an approved installer for the major home and workplace charger brands and handles everything from the site survey to the OZEV grant paperwork.
We install domestic chargers (typically 7 kW) and commercial or destination chargers up to 22 kW. Our vans carry Ohme, Zappi, Wallbox and Rolec units as standard, and we can source any OZEV-approved brand on request. Every install includes an earth electrode or PEN fault device where required by the latest regulations.
For workplaces and small fleets we can install multiple charge points with load balancing — so your existing supply is not overwhelmed when several vehicles plug in at once. We also handle the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme application, which still covers up to £350 per socket for eligible businesses.
A standard home charger install takes two to four hours. We test the tails, verify the earth arrangement, fit the charger, commission the app connection, and walk you through how to use it.

Do I still get a government grant for a home EV charger?
Homeowners no longer qualify, but renters and flat-owners with off-street parking do — up to £350 via the EV chargepoint grant. Workplaces still qualify under the Workplace Charging Scheme.
How fast does a home charger charge my car?
A 7 kW unit adds roughly 25–30 miles of range per hour. An overnight charge from empty is typical for most EVs.
Do I need a new fuseboard?
Not usually. Most modern consumer units accommodate a charger with a dedicated RCBO. We check during the survey and quote any upgrade up front.
