A house rewire is one of the most disruptive jobs you can have done — which is exactly why choosing the right electrician matters. ANP Electrical has carried out hundreds of full and partial rewires across Cannock, Stafford, Walsall and the surrounding villages, and we have refined the process to the point where most of our customers barely notice we are there.
If your home still has fabric-sheathed or rubber cabling, round-pin sockets, or a fuseboard with rewireable fuses, it is almost certainly time. We will confirm this with a quick inspection, explain the scope of a rewire in plain language, and give you a fixed quote with a clear programme.
For most 3-bed homes we complete a full rewire in five to seven working days. First fix (cables chased into walls) takes the first half, second fix (accessories and testing) the second. We protect floors, dust-sheet furniture, and clear up every evening.
Partial rewires — typically the kitchen and consumer unit, or upstairs lighting only — are available where a full rewire is not yet needed. We are honest about when you can defer and when you should not.

How long does a full rewire take?
Typically 5–7 working days for a 3-bedroom house. Larger or more complex properties can take up to two weeks.
Do we need to move out during a rewire?
Not usually. We rewire one circuit at a time so you have power and lighting for most of the job. The exception is the day we change the consumer unit — expect a few hours without power that day.
Do you make good after chasing cables?
We leave the walls ready for plastering. We can arrange plastering as part of the package, or work around your own trades.
